Rounds 1-2: โ€œTypical Architect/Diplomat/Prefect/Prefect opening in table 1.ย My starting Forum tile gives me +1 move, his gives him a 1 coin discount on each house.โ€

Round 3: “Prefect for me and a cheeky little early Architect for him!”

Round 4: “Round 4 was just resource gathering: I Mercatored, he Prefected”

Round 5: “I Senatored for the 1st 2 cards (Colonist & Prefect), he played Mercator.”

Round 6: “I played Colonist for the money (receiving too much) and he played Senator (for the Mason and a Mercator)”

Round 7: “I diplomatted his Senator just to grab the Farmer and he played his new Mercator.”

Round 8: “Round 8 was just resource gathering: Prefect for me, Mason for him.”

Round 9: “Farmer for me. His Tribune then got him the Forum tile I wanted, Spurius (discard for 1 salt) and a new colonist.”

Round 10: “My round 10 Tribune got me Numerius (discard to get 2 coins for each province you are in) and I chose not to place a colonist.ย His round 10 was a Prefect.”

Round 11: “My round 11 I Senatored for the 1st two cards, Diplomat and Architect”

Round 11:ย “My turn was Mercator. to trade.”

Round 12: “My round 12 was to Diplomat the big Mercator. His Round 12 was an Architect.”

Round 13:I begin round 13 by Prefecting for 10 money, and he Masons.”

Round 14: “I prefect for a couple of tools. He followed with a Prefect as well.”

Round 15: “Finally in Round 15 I do my 2nd Architect of the game lol… getting 4 cities at once. Of course he diplomats my Architect to keep ahead on the number of cities, building in 2. Including a Cloth city in the region I’m about to Prefect, naturally.”

Round 16: ” I prefect for Food, Salt & 2 Cloth, but giving him another cloth. He then Senators for the Weaver and another Mercator.”

Round 17: “So of course I kick off round 17 with a Diplomat to pick up the Consul and Colonist. So he Tribuned. No colonist, but grabbed a forum tile which he can discard to build 1 house without paying money.”

Round 18: “I start round 18 with a Colonist for 8 money He Prefects.”

Round 19: “I Mercator. (turning in my Forum tile for 10 coins in the process) So he Architected and built in 3 more cities.”

Round 20: “I played Farmer to get 3 more food. he Prefects to get 2 tools & brick (and I get nothing because I’m full).”

Round 21: “Then round 21, I play Colonist and place all 4 of my remaining colonists on the board at once! He responds with a Mason”

Round 22: “I Tribune & pick up a tile that I can discard to get 1 tool for every 3 regions I’m in (currently only 5 regions, so 1 tool)”
Round 22: “I senatored for prefect + architect, only remaining 2 cards in the display!”

Round 23: “I kick off round 23 with a Prefect for 2 wine in an uninhabited province.”
Round 23: “I did a prefect also for salt + 2 foods, thinky thinky !”

Round 24: “I Farm for 3 food.”
Round 24: “Tribune!”

Round 25: “Nearing the end! I’ve Mercatored for 2 bricks.”
Round 25: “I built 3 cities, alea jacta est.”

“You didn’t fall into the trap I laid then ๐Ÿ˜‰ I hoped you might Senator and end the game while you were ahead.”

“Ohoh and I would have lost for sure,ย ๐Ÿ˜„ย you have so much points in 1 architect.
Buuut I was thinking your best move would be to buy 3 bricks and not 2. Maybe I have not seen the best combination.”

Round 26: “I’ll just Colonist for 12 coins. I fear the writing’s on the wall.”

Round 26: “End game is triggered, can you make more than 37 points in 1 architect with 7 moves? That’s your challenge.”

“Nope! Final scores:”
